On 30 September 2017, seven architects and one landscape architect met at the Church Meetinghouse for a design workshop. Generously donating their time, as a part of their commitment to the American Institute of Architects, the group began by learning about the history of the Meetinghouse, and about the congregation's commitment to play an active role in the community. Then they began sketching.
How might our Church's Meetinghouse be of even greater service to the community, while treasuring its historic value? What kinds of events could happen here - weddings, performances, exhibitions, forums?
In the spirit of brainstorming, the architects imagined all kinds of uses. Click on the album below to see a few of their ideas.
